The lubricant

Not just cutting oil. A system lubricant.

KwikKut® OMSecolube is blended specifically for the Ogale ecosol aerosol generator. It's formulated to atomise consistently at the micro-quantities MQL demands — no other oil does this reliably enough for us to warrant it. Using any other lubricant in an ecosol system voids the warranty and risks permanent damage to the aerosol generator.

The base is 99.9–99.8% food-grade (FSSAI) vegetable oil. The additive package contains plant-based friction and wear reducing agents — ZnS, MoS2, HBn — in combination totalling no more than 0.1% w/w. The result is an oil that performs at the cutting edge, leaves no toxic residue, produces dry recyclable chips, and is safe for workers to handle without specialist PPE.

Three grades

Choose the grade for your application.

All three grades share the same vegetable base and HMIS 0 health rating. The difference is additive package concentration and oxidation resistance.

99-7
OMSecolube 99-7
Entry-grade formulation. Vegetable base with standard friction and wear reducing agents. Suitable for lighter machining loads on standard steels and aluminium.
  • Milling and drilling — standard steels
  • Aluminium machining
  • Bar saw cutting
  • General turning
99-8
OMSecolube 99-8
Mid-grade formulation with enhanced additive package. Better wear resistance for heavier cutting loads and two-shift operations.
  • Heavy milling and drilling
  • Tapping and broaching
  • Two-shift production
  • Cast iron and alloy steels
99-9
OMSecolube 99-9
Top-grade formulation with vegetable base, enhanced wear agents, and synthetic antioxidants. Designed for high-speed machining and exotic alloys.
  • High-speed machining
  • Exotic alloys (titanium, Inconel)
  • Deep-hole drilling
  • Through-spindle applications

What these ratings mean for your shop floor

Health 0 — minimal hazard. Workers do not need specialist respirators, chemical-resistant suits, or health monitoring. Standard safety glasses (PPE rating 1) are sufficient.

Flammability 0 — the oil will not ignite under normal machining conditions. No special fire suppression requirements.

Reactivity 0 — chemically stable. Does not react with other common shop floor substances, does not require special storage segregation.

Compare this to water-based coolants, which require biocide management, pH monitoring, periodic aeration cycles, and controlled disposal — none of which apply to OMSecolube.

Safety & handling

Simple to handle. Safer than coolant.

KwikKut® OMSecolube was designed from the ground up to be the safest MQL lubricant a machine shop can use.

Accidental release
Should not be released into the environment. Prevent from reaching drains, sewers, or waterways. Not listed as a carcinogen. Stable under normal conditions — no special emergency procedures required.
Worker health
Non-toxic, non-hazardous. Safety glasses recommended as minimum PPE. No inhalation risk under normal MQL aerosol concentrations. Fume extractor recommended as good practice.
Chip disposal
Chips machined with OMSecolube are dry and corrosion-free. No coolant carryover. Chips can be directly recycled without washing — saving water and reducing disposal cost.
System compatibility
Recommended for use in Ogale ecosol MQL systems only. Refer other MQL system or machine tool compatibility with Ogale before use. Rotary feedthrough couplings must be compatible with vegetable ester-based lubricants.
Works with

Compatible with all ecosol systems.

KwikKut® OMSecolube is the only warranted lubricant for the full Ogale ecosol range.
